We were busy this weekend landscaping homes for 2 Marine veterans.
The Youngren Construction team has been hard at work for over 7 months planning and building these 2 specially adapted custom homes for Homes For Our Troops.
Now we’re almost ready to hand the keys to these families, but first we joined this amazing community to come together and help landscape around these properties. For 2 hours this team of volunteers dug, planted, spread, raked, and swept. It was an amazing day filled with music, friendship, and fun!
Both families are recipients of a fully donated, custom home courtesy of Homes For Our Troops. This privately funded nonprofit organization builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury.
These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.
